Clear terms, no surprises.
Everything below applies when you commission design work from Cricket Stickers UK — how payments work, when you approve artwork, who handles printing, and where you stand. Written in plain English.
Who we are
Cricket Stickers UK is a design studio run by Rod Love from The Granary, Sutton Mallet, Somerset, TA7 9AT. These terms apply to all design services and artwork we supply. By commissioning a project, accepting a proposal or paying a deposit, you agree to them.
How design work runs
- We design from the brief, preferences and requirements you give us.
- For bat sticker sets, we present 2–3 initial design concepts. You pick one direction and we develop it through up to 3 rounds of standard revisions.
- Once the front bat sticker is finalised and approved, that approved visual style is rolled out across the rest of the set — back, edges, toe and wraps.
- Extra concepts, a full re-brief, or major structural redesigns after sign-off are quoted separately or charged at our standard hourly rate.
Payment terms (design fees)
Design fees are billed in three clear milestones:
- Payment 1 — 25% deposit. Due when you commission the project, to secure your studio slot and begin design work. Non-refundable once work commences.
- Payment 2 — 50% of the remaining balance. Due when your primary front bat sticker design concept is approved.
- Payment 3 — final balance. Due when the project is complete, before your final print-ready artwork files are released.
Invoices are due on the date shown. We reserve the statutory right to charge interest on late commercial payments under the Late Payment of Commercial Debts Act (8% plus the Bank of England base rate).
Printing, shipping and import
- Independent print contracts. Cricket Stickers UK is a design studio. Any printing, embossing, special finishes, packaging, courier delivery, customs fees and import taxes are handled directly between you and the independent print manufacturer.
- Payment & liability. All print and shipping payments are made directly to the printer. We do not collect payment for printing or shipping, nor do we act as a broker or guarantor.
- Timelines & quality. While we supply accurate print-ready artwork that matches the printer’s technical specifications, all production turnarounds, delivery schedules, shipping transit times and physical print quality sit strictly under the printer’s own terms and conditions.
Proof approval and artwork sign-off
- You are solely responsible for thoroughly checking and approving every design proof — spelling, names, dimensions, cutter shapes and specifications — before you sign off.
- Once you approve a proof in writing (or by email), Cricket Stickers UK accepts no liability for any typographical, design or layout errors once the files are sent to print.
Copyright and intellectual property
- Your chosen design. Upon receipt of final cleared payment, full commercial usage rights and copyright for the single, chosen, approved final design transfer to you.
- Unused concepts. All preliminary concepts, sketches, rejected drafts and alternative colourways remain the exclusive intellectual property of Cricket Stickers UK.
- Before launch. Draft concepts and work in progress must not be published publicly or shared on social media prior to formal launch without our prior agreement.
- Portfolio. We retain the right to showcase your completed, launched designs in our portfolio, website, case studies and social channels.
Cancelling a project
If you wish to cancel an active project, notice must be given in writing. Any costs and studio time incurred up to the date of cancellation will be calculated and deducted, along with a 5% cancellation fee plus a £10 administration fee, before any remaining balance or refund is considered.
Limitation of liability
Cricket Stickers UK’s total liability under any contract is strictly limited to the total design fees paid to us for that project. We accept no liability for third-party printing costs, wasted materials, courier delays, customs hold-ups, or any indirect or consequential loss — and nothing in these terms excludes anything that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Governing law
These terms and conditions are governed exclusively by the laws of England and Wales.
